Life update

Still having some issues with Regan but we are working hard to get them solved. He has done much better over Spring break and hopefully will keep going in the right direction.

Lots to say but first off HELLO 16 WEEKS!! I really can not believe it! This pregnancy is just flying by. We find out for sure in a little over two weeks if its a boy or girl. I'm still going with having the third boy!!! Wow! It will be a fun house around here!!! I've gained 7lbs already!! How in the world did that happen??

We are still playing T-ball! All I can say to that is poor Coach Dustin!!! Regan loves it but goodness he is a mess out there!

After our last game we took a little trip to the beach! It was great! The water was too cold for me but our little fish didn't seem to care. Kollyn had his first feel and taste of the sand and seemed to like it also. I somehow was the only person who got too much sun but it turned quickly so it was worth a little bit of burn to have some color finally!! I got lots of pictures of Kollyn since Regan now thinks he is just too busy for a good picture!

MIA

Things are bad with Regan. He is having some major issues and I'm frustrated,scared,mad and lots of other things. I'm looking for answers that can't be found but I will find out somehow what is going on with him. Please excuse the absence for awhile.

Why is it that every friendship I've had since middle school leaves me feeling used. I'm not your free babysitter, designated driver, or ATM. We live on one income and make it just fine with the the 4 of us. But I don't have the money to hand you because you over spent while shopping and now don't have gas money for your hot date. If you want to have a friend then be one don't call only when your having a bad day but never return calls when someone else needs you!! Don't call me for an emergency to watch your child and return 11 hours later. I'm tired of it. Don't call when you have decided to go out and then leave your child with me for 3 days. No respectable date lasts that long. Don't call your child retarded for one and surely don't use it in front of me and my child.



End of rant!

Flowers

This morning Regan and I were outside early enough to run around in the yard. We were talking about the daffodils or actually I was talking, he was just playing and smelling. He then pulled two of them, I of course had to tell him we don't pull flowers, but then he tried to put them in his pocket. So I watched! He wouldn't give them to me he kept saying no and then something I couldn't understand. When the bus turned the corner he went running to the bus with his flowers. Ms. Darlene always gets one of his hands to help him up the steps and before he would give up his hand he gave her the flowers. At the top of the stairs he said here and she handed them back. He then turned to Mrs. Nancy gave her a flower and then handed Mrs. Darlene one back. Such a sweet moment for his momma,even though I didn't get any flowers!!!

Atlanta here we come!!

Saturday will be our six year anniversary! We are going to Atlanta for the night!! I can't believe that I'm going to leave Kollyn already but we really need this. Ricky and I are on the exhausted side! We never get to sleep more than a few hours at a time and I have no idea when the last time we slept the entire night in the same bed. We are both up and down all night with the boys and most of the time I'm with one boy and he with the other. We are going to do some shopping and go to a dinner show! I'm going to have a hard time not having the boys with me but I know how important it is for us to stay connected for the boys so off we go!

T-Ball love

Regan had a preseason tournament over the weekend. We were very nervous as to how he would do after missing practices. He did pretty good. He of course got bored and started throwing his hat around and playing in the dirt and made some nice grass angels for us. But it's not much different than what some of the other kids were doing in the outfield so we were shocked.

During the first game Regan got to bat and hit the ball pretty good but just didn't run. He stood there and finally started his "run". He of course got out but we were just glad that he did finally start running. His next up to bat he would have made it to first but he didn't start running so he got out. We were expecting a home run hitter or anything so we were fine with his outs. He did get an RBI so we were happy with that!!

The second game on Friday night he got out one time and then on his next bat they let him run a home run. The coach had to run with him because he loses focus from first to second and so they helped him find all the bases. Everyone was cheering him on and it was just a magical moment in my life. He scored his second "home run" that night and it got the game ball!!

We are so thankful for the coaches that Regan has this year. After sitting there watching the other coaches from other teams get mad at their players and yell at the kids who weren't paying attention we are just so thankful for the team and coaches we have.

Your child ~My Child

Just because some program works for your "typical" child does not mean it will work for mine. Regan learns things in a different way than other kids. I can't explain it but for a typical parent to tell me what I need to do to help my "special needs" child just burns me. You have no idea the struggles we have went through just to get where we are and to act like I haven't done something right makes me want to knock you in the knees. My child will get where your child is one day,it may not be the same way you got there but we will just wait.
