Day 3

Day 3~ My idea of the perfect date

I have already had the perfect date. It was with Ricky in August of 2001.

We started out going to eat, then we went bowling,to play putt-putt,to the movies,to eat again, to Oxford lake and Wal-Mart! Our date lasted 12 hours! It was also our first date. I made him promise not to cross "the line" but I knew we had something special when we could spend the entire day together and I hated to see him leave that night.

Now my perfect idea of a date would be dinner and just some time to ourselves. We are super blessed because both sets of our parents keep the kids so that we can have some alone time.

Day 2~ A photo of something you ate today.

I have been wanting to make this Butterfinger cake since 2008 when I saw it on

It is super easy to make. Here is the recipe

12 mini butterfinger bars crumbled

Make cake according to directions
While cake is still hot poke holes in cake

top cake with butterfinger crumbs
Let cake cool completly
Top with coolwhip
ENJOY!!!

Day 1

I've been having a hard time blogging and so while visiting another blog I saw the 30 day challenge and wanted to join. Maybe I will be able to keep up with it even if it takes me 90 days which lets just be honest it more than likely will...

Day 1~ A recent picture of your self and how day has been.

Today has been a pretty good day. Kollyn woke me up by yelling mama this morning. He usually yells for daddy so I was almost excited to get up at 630. We spent the day just hanging out and playing with the kids. Ricky's pawpaw's birthday was today so we went out to eat with them. Regan wanted to go home with his Mawmaw and Pawpaw so he and Kollyn went with them. Ronnie came home with us and while Ricky and Michael played Xbox Ronnie and I went shopping.

I've been trying to find Ricky some pants. I wanted to get them from Old Navy since this week they are on sale for 15.00. Do you know how hard it is to find 33x32. It's such a odd size. I got Karly one outfit and a pair of blue jeans with ruffles! They are soo cute! I've also made a Christmas tree shirt out of ribbons and so I picked up some different ribbons to make her some more.

Well, there you go there is one post out of 30. Hopefully I will be able to keep up with this. Happy Thanksgiving week!!

I almost forgot the picture. I don't know why my glasses look so uneven but they do. You can't really tell it by this but my hair is getting pretty long. Long for me at least! I'm also not a huge fan of my chin on this picture. I've lost more weight than than this picture shows I thought. Maybe I'll work on a better picture.

Shutterfly cards!!

Shutterfly has offered 50 FREE Christmas cards to bloggers who blog about their 2010 Christmas Cards. I love getting photo cards during the Holidays and seeing how much people have changed over the year so I'm super excited to be able to be a part of this!!

I usually try to get our photo cards sent out by the second week of December so I need to get busy and get some pictures of the kiddos! Here are some of my favorite. I haven't narrowed ours down just yet but wait a few weeks and you might get to see which one I decide on.

Make sure you head to Shutterfly to pick out the one that you want to send this year.

Shutterfly has lots of other great photogifts that you should consider for those grandparents and family that always beg for pictures of your family. One of the things both my mother and mother-in-law want every Christmas is photo mugs with pictures from that year Shutterfly has them!! Lots of people love making photo books and Shutterfly has those also. No matter what you decide on I know you will love Shutterfly for your photo gifts this season!

Ricky and I are trying to get Christmas bought! It's so tough this year. These kids have EVERYTHING and I don't know what to buy them. I'm hoping to get it all done this weekend. We shall see.

My Karly went to the doctor today and ya'll she weighs 10lbs6oz!!! She isn't even two months old!! She is huge compared to what Kollyn and Regan were at this age! I love it!

My mom and I went to The Christmas village recently and I got Karly a few dresses and the most adorable red jacket! I can't wait to start putting them on her come December!!

My sweet hubby turns 29 in one month! I'm dreading our last year in our 20's!! I'm just not ready to be 30! It just doesn't seem possible!!

I finally got what I wanted and now Regan gets to unload from the car where the special needs buses unload. I'm sure that anyone who has ever been behind us in the car rider line is super excited to not see us now!! It's been a mess but now it's all fixed!!!

Karly Elaine Heath

I wasn't planning on blogging much anymore but wanted to put Karly's birth story out on "paper" so here I am again.

I was checked on Monday and was at 3cm and 75%effaced. My doctor told me how easy I was making it for him and so we moved my arrival time from 12am to 5am because it probably wouldn't take long to get me into active labor!

Wednesday night Ricky and I took the boys to his parents and then went to eat. We had a relaxing night watching tv and finally went to bed at midnight. We checked into the hospital around 445 and were super excited. Around 530am they started the pitocin. Our great nurse bumped up the amount every 15mins. My contractions started out pretty slow and were just more like cramps to begin with. When the doctor got there about 7am and checked me I was still just 3cm. To say I was disappointed was a understatement. But they kept bumping me up and the contractions got stronger.

Around 9am the anesthesiologist came in to introduce himself and ask me a question. He had a student that had been sent to him and they wanted to know if I would let the student do my epidural. Now, I understand that everyone will have to start out on someone but I just couldn't handle the thought of being a students "first" I just couldn't. I felt so bad saying no because I know they need to get experience but all I could think about was if something went wrong I would have three babies who needed me!

My nurse had a student with her and we quickly named the student nurse Slammy! The girl slammed the door EVERY time she came into and out of the room. We had a great time laughing about it.

By this time we had quite a few people there with us. My parents, Ricky's parents, Our Barbara, Mike, Ricky and Kollyn. Everyone took turns keeping Kollyn out of the room. Which I'm so thankful for. I know he wouldn't remember it but I didn't want to be in pain and he be there in the room. He gave everyone a run for their money in the lobby from what I hear.

During the day a few times my contractions would just fade away. I even thought a few times that something had happened to my IV because they would just go away. When they would bump my medicine up it would help but I never had contractions close together for more than 25-30 mins. They stayed about 4 mins apart.

I finally got the epidural about 130 or 200? I'm not sure about the time. I was told that I had held out longer than any other patient on the floor that day and he was impressed by that. I'm not sure how women can do it without medicine. I just can't imagine. I was tired of the nagging pain that the contractions were causing. When they checked me then I was only at 4cm and I lost it! I had been there all day and was only at a 4!! I of course cried and fussed but they bumped up the pitocin and we waited some more.

Around 415 my wonderful doctor came in and talked to me and decided to check to see how things were going. Again I was at a four and Karly had moved back up and wouldn't come down. I knew before what he was going to say but those words are hard to hear. Let's do a C-section and get this BIG girl out. She probably can't come down because she is so big. I said okay through tears and so things started rolling.

At 430 they wheeled me in and at 442 the most wonderful thing came into my world. My Karly.. The little girl I have waited for all my life.
